Evaluation Task - 4 - How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
Updated and assigned script - Evaluation Task
Script - How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation on stages?
Script - How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation on stages?
G - We used a large variety of media technologies in the production and post production of our media coursework. All examples mentioned were vital in the creation of the final product.
T - On the day of the shoot we used a Blackmagic URSA mini 4k this ultra high definition camera which has double the quality of the 1080p camera used previously.
A - I was briefed on how to use the digital clapper board which played our chosen song through the speakers. The time code on the Ipad's screen at the beginning of each shot made editing far easier for Teddy when he needed to match the mp3 file to the shots we produced on the day. A short drumbeat followed by a snare gave a countdown for the artist and crew to get ready before the lipsyncing began.
G - We set up a Canon 5D on a tripod throughout the shoot day to capture a timelapse consisting of a picture every 20 seconds. This documented the shoot day for us in a small amount of time which was really interesting to see at the end of the day
T - Manually adjusting the white balance was the next vital step so the colours looked as good as possible before shooting began. Zebra warnings informed us of areas in the shot that were too bright. I reduced the aperture so only the artists straight jacket was displaying zebras as this was the point of focus against the padded walls. Using premier pro in post production I fixed these over exposed areas.
A - We used a composition app on an Iphone to make sure the shots were correctly composed. This saved time when it came to moving the bigger camera into position.
G - The first shots of the artist lipsyncing required a 85mm fixed lens to get up and close to capture his facial expressions. When we needed to capture more of the room we used the 25mm for a mid shot which really set the location of the shoot.
T - We set up a TV to display our cameras footage live for the rest of the team to see. This was incredibly helpful when I had to use the jib to pan up the hanging mans body. It is impossible to look into the camera's viewfinder whilst attached to the rig so the TV worked great for both me and the team mate on the back. This also helped Gabi work out how fast to push the dolly whilst I filmed and moved the camera.
A - YouTube enabled us to research existing real media texts, most importantly music videos. We took conventional themes that inspired us and when it came to planning our video It helped us to know what conventions we still needed. Additionally YouTube allowed us to upload our final music video into Hurtwood channel so it was a way of distributing our final product and making it more accessible for audiences to view.
G - Pinterest was also very helpful in the research stage. When it came to creating mood boards, which we used as inspiration for an initial idea this helped us to develop our ideas and find something original. I used wix to create a website for DJ Amnesia, Wix gave us the access to various tools which made our product far more creative and interesting. Teddy and I then went over animations to make the words pop out of the screen.
T - I used Adobe Photoshop to create the Artists CD Digipack, using the empty CD Digipak template I worked with the bleed line and guides to place my set of underwater photographs on top. Using adobe lightroom I boosted the saturation and contrast in the set of images to make the colour ‘pop’ which matches what we did in the music video by overexposing the straightjacket. The layers and cropping function helped fit the different images into the shapes of the guide and using the layers pallet I was able to place the legal information such as disclaimers and the barcode.
A - Adobe Premiere Pro is a professional of the shelf program that our group used to edit the music video. We had to look at all the clips and decide which shots were going to make the cut.
G - We needed all the clips to be in the preferred order and we also didn’t want to keep clicking on the same clips over and over again so we decided to name all of them after the types of shot they were which made the whole editing process much easier for Teddy later down the line once he finished the performance cut.
T - After naming all the clips we had to remove the audio and I began moulding this large set of clips into a fluent video. Using the blade tool I cut segments out of different shots and continued pairing them with other clips. Using the zoom tool on the timeline enabled me to cut to the individual sounds and beats to adhere to the conventional way of cutting a music video.
T - Colour grading was fixed and using youtube we uploaded it online for viewers to see

Evaluation Task Three
Audience feedback can either turn out great or the complete opposite. It is based on the overall response received from the audience once they have seen your product. Audience feedback was a critical and essential role in working out if my product was a success or not. Once the results came through we had a clear understanding of what the audience did and didn't like and could make adjustments to our campaign to attract a larger and happier audience. I received the feedback from the audience with a video camera I filmed the reactions once they had watched it.
After presenting our website to the class and others I recieved both positive and negative feedback regarding how the whole website looks and how easy it is to navigate. Small comments such as the logo being a little bit lopsided to the font being too small where all issues that we refined later on and the negativity ended up helping us in the long run.
The feedback was helpful as we could trial and error different features and finetune it to the specific target audiences likings. We made sure to use a wide range of audiences to recieve the farest feedback mostly aimed at our target audience. If there was an issue brought up we made sure that others agreed before making adjustments. Most of the time when one person likes something someone else doesn't but using the focus group we worked around this.
From my understanding the audience understanded the unusual concept and asked questions for instance about the dead seagull and why we may have used it in our website. It was great hearing how everyone interpreted the greusome image.
The focus group I held featured a set of people from our target audience. We asked them what they thought of our media texts to gather opinions on whether or not specific items in my texts where worth having. I discovered through asking the group questions that one out of the four didn't like the underwater sea worm used on the CD digipack or the unusual weird aspect theme of texts in general. Evelyn said that "Im not quite sure how the dead seagull relates to the planet earth cd cover" which was an acceptable point however although she said she understood the weirdness she didn't believe that everything linked together. After explain that we wanted to create an unusual set of images to get viewers asking questions she understood what I was trying to do. This unconventional style of photographs will draw attention among viewers and will get them sharing the weird and crazy images on social media which gives our work far more attention. Callum Henderson mentioned that he hadn only seen one hanging convetion been used before among other music videos. This is infact the unconvetional theme we needed to drag attention towards our video when it went onto youtube.
via GIPHY
The key decision for our focus group to be based around a teenage demographic was to ensure that it matched our primary audience as mentioned before. After delving into teenage VALS we came to a conclusion that this needed to be aimed at rebellious teenagers and the individuals in audience feedback who didn't have an understanding of the cd digipac or website didn't fit this category of teenager.

Evaluation task Summary
Conventions are a widely known of doing something associated with form and style in a piece of content. Conventions can be used and supported. They can be challenged to deliberately subvert to common conventions. In evaluation of the questions set I feel that I have challenged the conventions of media products in my own campaign. This use of these conventions is evident in the construction of my own products, for example focusing on the performer as the main target. This brings the audience into the video and is almost like the performer is singing to them. this is supported by my own research into multiple mainstream artists such as Kasabian and Flume where this is commonly used in their campaigns. At the same time I have sought to develop and been able to challenge conventions, for example, We hung the main actor in the video upside down. This gave it an unusual theme and got the audience asking questions as to why he was upside down. The reason why I feel that I've achieved this is so I can differentiate my product in this huge competitive music industry market and I have attempted to challenge audience expectations whilst they watch my music video. I wanted to bring something new to the media forms. Media Conventions are ultimately relied upon for creating and sending the right message to the intended audience, diverting from these expectations helps sell the star image that I wanted to promote. Digital Technologies
In class we were set the individual task of listing all the individual online technologies that we used in our A2 coursework. The three different categories consisted of Hardware, software and online technology. The most important piece of hardware had to be the Blackmagic URSA Mini 4K. Without that piece of digital technology our coursework wouldn't exist. The Blackmagic helped us portray our story to the audience and when this was used with the most important software.
Adobe Premier which gave me control over the order of the clips and just how I wanted the story to be portrayed. This high tech software allows highly accurate editing so this gave me the opportunity to match cuts and transitions to the beat of the music. When it came to using online technology Youtube, Pinterest and even the programme I'm typing into right now thats helping me document the process, were all very essential. Pinterest inspired creativity in our group and sparked ideas for the mental asylum theme. Youtube enabled us to become a prosumer and distribute our creation over the internet for the world to see. Youtube gave us the statistics of who and where people were watching the video and we could change our product depending on the different outcomes and numbers. The diagram below features some more examples of Hardware, software and online tech we used. These programmes overall have helped bring the three tasks together into one product that matches with each other.

Youtube Statistics
The youtube statistics that were gathered were very interesting to read and it is great seeing who and where the video is watched the most. The UK had watched a total of 86 minutes followed by the US with 10. I believe sharing the video on facebook got it out to far more countrys and is one of the main reasons why it has spread out like it has.
The male to female ratio was 60 - 40. It is interesting to hear this as I do believe the video is targeted mostly at both genders however it is more popular among the males.

Focus group
-Focus groups-
"a
group of people assembled to participate in a discussion about a
product before it is launched, or to provide feedback on a political
campaign, television series, etc"
We decided to create our own focus group to respond to our final music video piece I had created. This group consisted of ages between 15-30. This was a great range as it enabled a mix of opinions and views not just in our target audience gap but also a response from 25-30 year olds which arent in our target. The audience feedback we received was very mixed, when one person enjoyed the dancer on the ground underneath the hanging man others said it was too sexualised and distracting. Most feedback recieved people didn't understand that the DJ in the 'parrallel universe' was actually the hanging mans subconcious. Overall our video didn't actually have a narrative and this feedback was expected. If we did have longer time in production I would have recieved feedback whilst making it. We cant go back and edit the video however we can still rework the campaign to the audiences likings. Overall the video was great in the audiences eyes and in my opinion my video went well.

Evaluation Task 1 - Part 4: In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
I have realised how much the website I created uses, challenges and develops the common conventions that are used very often on professional websites. The website needed to reflect the qualities of our artists star image that we we needed to present. The main key qualities being creative, synthetic and unconventional. I wanted the website to match not only similar artists but also the rest of the campaign i.e. CD Digipack and the product itself.

Digi-pack Switch Around
We were falling behind the production of the digi-pack the website was coming along smoothly and I created the scaffolding and built it up. I felt however the digi-pack was week, today I suggested swapping with Gabi and creating the digi-pack myself.
I had a large collection of underwater photos I could use, I jumped onto lightroom and began selecting and editing the photos that would go nicely on the digipack and link to the artist we had created. There was a few images of an underwater centipede which looked great under the macro lens. It really did remind me of the similar artist I studied called 'Flume' The flower like picture coming out the bottom of the cover is very similar to mine. Bearing in mind that Flume has the same target audience as me I thought this worked great.
Spending the day on this and coming up with my first draft I am very pleased to say that we did this swap. My photoshop knowledge is stronger than my website design and I am now just waiting for audience feedback to see where I should go with the digipack now.

Task 1 Part 1 - In what ways do your media products use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
My media product in some ways does challenge the forms and conventions of actual media products. Convention itself meaning, common and stereotyped examples that are most likely always used in a music video. Our video commonly features the performance artist singing to the audience and 'breaking the fourth wall' I did this to achieve what popular music videos usually do we made sure that although there were jump cuts to other performers the hanging man was our main focus. Our digipack aims at representing what type of personality the artist has and the distorted effect links up to the mental asylum. Viewers would realize this on not just the digipack but also the website and would recognize the performers overall look. I will be comparing my own digipack, web-site and video in comparison to real examples. It will be great to see whether or not our music publicity campaign adheres to the commonly used campaigns created by famous, professional artists.

Angelina created a list of questions to ask to our audience. We are aiming to show our music video to about 4 or 5 people and ask them the following questions :
1. What were your first impressions from watching the music video ?
2. Do you think the performance/concept based music video worked for this genre of music ?
3. What do you think of the location for this music video ? Could it be improved ?
4. What did you think of the variety of camera angles used in this music video ?
5. Was the lighting suitable for the music video/genre/location of music ?
6. Do you think the balance of performance and concept was even or was there too much/too little of one ?
7. Did you notice any continuity problems ?
8. How did this compare to other music videos of a similar genre that you have seen ?
9. Did you think that the shots were synched with the music ? ( lip sync , cutting on beats , etc.. )
10. What do you think is going to be a target audience for this music video ?On the scale of 1 to 10 , how would you rate it ? ( 1 being lowest , 10 being highest )
*The videos are going to be uploaded soon*

Tuesday Media Lesson
Straight upstairs to work on the music video. I felt that today I needed to make fast but controlled progress in order so I could finish the video and help my group with the digipak and design of the artists website. I began to work on the other half of the final cut, before this however I decided to show what I had so far to someone so I could take their feedback. They suggested that I didnt take so long to introduce the DJ character and I should show him after the first drop. I tryed this and I believed it made the video flow far more easier and there was less of the hanging man at the beginning. I continued adding the clips of the doctor and the patient on, I decided on trying to play around with the opacity and overlayed clips so when he laughed it looked very phsycotic the audience gave good feedback on this. I then decided on the ending, this was a problem for me as I was getting mixed feedback on wether I should have the doctor and patient kissing or if I should just end on the hanging man. I eventually decided on ending on the hanging man, I showed my finished clip to Luke and Matt the media guys and they said that it was done. However during the playback I noticed a few clips that I felt looked out of place so I have agreed to come back tommorow and work on the video and get it finished and exported from the software.

Editing Session
I jumped on the computer this afternoon and loaded up the editing software keen to make some decent progress with my music video. Working on my own is more challenging than I thought when it comes to editing as there is lack of opinion and criticism so you don't really know if you are creating something others will enjoy. However I have got used to working on my own and in some ways it makes editing far easier being on my own as I can get on with cutting and arranging the clips without any distractions. At the end of the day only one person can wear the headphones to create the lipsync. The deadline is approaching fast and I felt that in this session I needed to really get into it so I immediatley showed what I had so far to a group of people and recieved their feedback. Overall it was positive, most people suggested that I needed to fix the colour throughout the video. I explained that the colour grading is something that is done after the video is finished. They also noticed that at one of the drops in the song they felt it collapsed in suspense and after rewatching this section I agreed with them. I fixed this by cutting to a more powerful shot when the beat drops, overall this looked far better and worked more with my video. I then opened up the shoot with Mike and Fran and started to plan how I would overlay this on my video. Because my group wasn't with me I had to remember what they were ok with and the effect we agreed on. I began to introduce Mike and Fran the Doctor and patient half way through the video and after about half way through I realised that I had done a good 2 hours editing. I was pleased with the progress and feel as if this video will be finished on wednesday.
Friday, 2 December 2016
I continued on the edit today and yesterday and I was determined to finish this second cut so I could focus on the third cut next week featuring Mike and Fran. In order to do complete this task without rushing I needed to take my time but work with the clock. I continued adding the story of the Dj finding his equipment and eventually I finished it.
Today I spent the majority of the lesson adding the other aspect of our music video on-top of the performers cut. This specific part of the video features the story of the individual who awakes inside a padded cell and after putting on his headphones the song goes into his head as he try to finds DJ equipment to play. It was great seeing the footage we took on the pick up day and working it into the video I had. It was difficult at first to know where I should put the individual clips of footage without breaking the consistency I already had with the performance cut. It took lots of audience feedback and perseverance and eventually I had worked it half way through the piece. The actor wasn't as skilled as Harvey the hanging man. This is because he isn't a theatre student himself. This made it slightly more harder as an editor to select certain clips that worked in the video however I took on the responsibility of working around this problem I was faced with by looking through every single second of each individual clip searching for the most believable acting and the best framed shots and contiuned embeding it throughout. I did have the issue of wondering where to place the clips and if I do or don't put a clip over lyrics because I feel asif when there are lyrics in the song it should be on the lip syncer. However once I tried putting vocals to the DJ it worked great and it looked good in the end. I will continue editing the second cut soon.

Editing session two
After coming up in a free period and jumping on the computer I loaded up the project file and there it was. I was so excited to make changes without any distractions. I discussed previously with the group what they where looking for in the performer cut and I had a clear image in my head of what to achieve. I began by refining the original 20 seconds of the song to match more to the beat of the music. After about half an hour of zooming into the timeline and precisely matching the beat to different shots I played it back and it seemed far stronger. I showed it to the individual who recommended doing this and he said it looked great and had a stronger and more interesting feel. So I started editing in the same style as before in time with the beat and the programme slow became far more fluid and easier to use.
BLOG SESSION ONE
Today was my initial day of editing,
" Video editing is the process of manipulating and rearranging video shots to create a new work. Editing is usually considered to be one part of the post production process — other post-production tasks include titling, color correction, sound mixing, etc. "
Adobe premier pro isn't my editing programme of choice. I personally use final cut to edit, so it was new to me in a way. I did use Premier last year in our AS thrillers however I am rusty on the programme since this was a while ago. Once I had a small brief from Matt I started by dropping our music track onto the timeline in sync with the playback we used on the day. I then started dragging all the individual clips from the shoots of Harvey the performer onto the timeline without any audio. Once placed I had to find the clacker in the video that Angelina held out at the start of all the video that contained lip sync to make this stage easier. Once I matched it up with the editing softwares time I repeated with the rest of the hanging shots. I was then told by Matt that he highly recommended to make a performers cut as this would be an easier way of producing the video. Gabbi and I began to view the clips from the day and establish the certain parts we needed to match with the music. We began dragging the video along the timeline and cutting between the shots we wanted and got about 20 seconds of the song done. Once showed to someone else they stated that it needed faster cuts to match the music. I noted down to make these changes on my next editing session.

Today was our pickup on the DJ scene, We got off to a swift start at 9:00 AM and worked all the way throughout until 11:30 this gave us enough footage we need to fill in the shots that we didn't manage to get on the original shoot day after falling behind. We started off with some wide shots of Josh our actor in the padded cell, after he "discovers" headphones on the ground we then will cut to him under the bed sheet in almost his own world as he discovers different DJ equipment around the dark and starts playing to the song.
We used a blackout sheet as a cover that went over the top of him as he searched round with his light. This created an almost childhood effect kind of like being under a bed. We truly wanted to give the effect of whats in his mind as a character and his phsycodelic issues.

Shoot Day
I made sure to have an early night on wednesday so I was well rested for the shoot the following day. I woke up refreshed thursday morning and ready to film. We made our last discussions with eachother over a solid breakfast and continued discussing shots just to be sure that we had everything organised.
When we arrived at the studio at 8:50 we had the costume, props and harvey was getting his makeup done. Whilst this was happening I began explaining the specific shots I wanted to Luke. Before we could actually start to shoot we needed to be briefed by Joe on the safety of Harvey and how the rig works. Gabby and I had the task of lifting and landing harvey on the crash mat before and after each take. Once Harvey was strapped in Gabby and I guided him off the ground as Joe hoisted him up with the rope. Luke then briefed us on how to use the new camera set the white balance up on it as things appeared green at first. My first look at the set I was slightly suprised at the size of it, I expected there to be higher and wider cell walls seeing as two groups where using it. However after realising it was going to be a two wall set I came to realise that the foam must have cost too much and they couldn't go over budget. We decided we would have to make use of this set and once Harvey was hung it didnt look too bad and worked very well. The overall look on the moniter suited my expectations and I was pleased. We went ahead with deciding on the roles we would each take. Angelina agreed on becoming the clacker and was in charge of starting and stopping the playback and to hold the board infront of the camera inorder to make it easier to link up the lipsync in post. Gabby said that she would be happy sharing the role of director with me and this worked great throughout the day. I decided on being the cameraman on the shoot as I do photography I feel I have a grip with composition and the shots I would like to achieve. I did learn tips and tricks from Luke throughout the day on the differences between photography shots and Filming shots and added this too my overall knowledge however by the end of the day I was confident with working with the camera and with the crane. I feel as if I did well achieving some of the shots on the day and I quickly picked up how to use the porta-jib. I think I did particuarlly well in getting the shots we needed in that certain part and after suggesting a lense change.
it soon made the shoot look far nicer. Towards the end of shooting harvey (The hanging man) we decided to do a run through without any lip sync and purely him just using body movements in time with the music. Half way through the shoot of the hanging man we began to realise that to really sell the fact that he was being upside down to the audience we needed someone or something on the ground to give a perspective. We didn't have anyone or anything planned to be shot so to solve this I ran upstairs to our class to my class and asked if a student would like to perform. After Vogue a friend of mine agreed to volounteer as an actor we rushed her downstairs whilst the rest of the crew set up the lighting for the next shot and got the costume for her to wear. Laura our makeup artist then did subtle makeup on her similar to the hanging man to sell the mental patient look. I definatley am pleased we took this step because without these takes we did with Vouge the effect wouldn't have sold itself as much and I believe my team solved the issue in a great and productive way. Towards the end of the song he started to seem distressed we asked if he would like to be taken down from the rig and he said yes so we went ahead and layed him down on the mattress. He had been up in total for about an hour which is makes the situation completley understandable shortly after he drunk water we strapped him back in and he went ahead lip syncing for the final take. Most of our shoot day was successful and the content we had planned in pre production matched up with the real thing and we had something strong to work on. I believe because we had a warm up with the hanging set up with Harvey the day before the shoot this saved time on the day. The hanging element is definatley the most promising as this will stand out from the crowd as something that has never been done before. I wish we hadn't of fallen behind schedule on the hanging man because we missed out on our third element featuring the DJ in some ways Its a good thing that we missed the DJ scene as we had longer time to spend with the hanging rig which most of our budget had gone on. Im sure we can arrange a pick up soon anyway to broaden our story this will resolve this issue. Overall I believe our managment with the actors was great, As it is Harvey already can play the role of a psychiatric patient brilliantly because of his A2 theatrical piece had the same style of character in some ways this video is a sequal to the production. His facial expressions and movements came out very strong on the monitor and I am really looking foward to editing the clips in post. Mike and Fran the doctor and patient however was slightly more difficult as neither of them do theatre. Therefore the terminology I was using to achieve what I wanted they didnt understand in the same way as I communicated with Harvey. Fran the doctor also tended to laugh alot while performing. To solve this we used angles that wouldnt reveal her face when she was laughing however still kept a strong composition. Overall though I believe we managed to direct the talent. I definatley enjoyed controlling the porta-jib the most as it is something I have never used before. I have always envied crew that control these huge pieces of equipment at festivals and concerts as it just looks so fun having the power to move a camera round on the end of a pole. Although this piece of equipment wasn't up to the same standards I still had the same feeling having a black magic attached to the end of the jib it gave me the control I needed to achieve my intended shots.
I am definitely looking forward to editing and seeing these clips in the flesh. This shoot day has given me a clear view into what I enjoy doing whilst shooting and what I don't. Being the porta-jib controller is another thing I would have loved to do however I didnt have the proper training to do so.
During the middle of the shoot we had
During the middle of the shoot we had
Risk Assessment
Today Joe came in to perform a risk assessment on the hanging performance part of our piece. Gabi and I gathered in the studio with Harvey the actor to set up the rig and make sure that everyone was comfortable with the setup before the shooting tommorow. It was great hearing about the rig itself and the health and safety so now we have an understanding of the limits we can put Harvey too. He managed to last 3 minutes upside down so we have come to an agreement that this is the time segments we will shoot in. Joe told us that the specfics gray ropes featured below where used in Cirque De Solails and are made out of the bulletproof vest material kevlar, and can hold just under a ton of force which was a great know and I'm sure Harvey appreciated hearing that.

Final Tasks Before Shoot
I briefly discussed with Jontee a student who has the specific DJ equipment we need and he has asked me to remind him the day before the shoot so he can get it in school for us to use.
Discussion with set designer -
We need to make sure Harvey feels safe all the time ( We are taking a big risk)
Straight Jacket arriving tommorow
Need to get canvas trousers for both mike and harvey - Gabi visited the costume department and we now have these.

Our fellow classmates group had their filming yesterday so they stood infront of the class to gives tips and tricks to assure that all goes well on the day of performing. They suggested that we learn from their mistakes which are the following.
- Dont star in your own music video, It causes issues if you need to do stuff behind the camera aswell as act
- Dont shoot in storage cabinets, the amount of time spent clearing up isnt worth it
- Allow enough time to rotate different sets
- Make sure the performers learn the songs they need to play
The hanging effect is now official, we didnt receive any emails from the proffesional theatrical companys so after telling Luke the official music video director he has found someone who will be able to make this happen and interm is going to make our music video stand out from the rest if all goes well. Joe White a fully qualified theatrical preformer and rigger will be coming in on wednesday at 2pm to preform the risk assessment. I have informed the actor and told him Harvey that Joe will be in on wednesday and thursday to see how this setup goes and if he is comfortable with the whole ordeal.

New shoot schedule
New Shoot Schedule
I have adjusted the shoot schedule based around the actor changes and after finding out that we really need to start clearing up the set after 3:00 I have however found out that we can go over schedule if we ran out of time so this something great to have if we need some extra time at the end of the day to get all the shots needed to make post production a far easier process.

Filming Roles For Media Shoot
There are five essential jobs that need to be filled before our shoot to make sure our production works and everything falls into place and is being taken care of. Obviously two of us will need to have an extra task because we dont have 5 people but thats fine because we can have a clearer image with fewer people.Director
A film director is great job if someone likes to direct the crew and actors. The directors role is to visulise what the shots and overall structure of the production will be like and directs the crew into creating this. I believe that in our group we will all be leading the direction as we all have a similar image in our head and this is a group task afterall. Although we are all directors I believe it would make sense if we worked on a rota and swapped roles on each scene we shoot so we all get individual understandings on how everything was put together.
Camera Man / Camera Women
A cameraman / women's responsibility is for operating the camera and capturing everything that the director wants to be visulised. In other words the camera operator is the directors eyes when it comes to filming the event which is taking place. They will need to think about composition and also be ready to take orders from and cooperate with the director to make sure the final image is what the director was looking for.
I have a passion in photography and filming and this task will definatley be the most enjoyable for me as although I still have things to learn as I will be new to the cameras being used in the studio. I feel as if I can guide the others in my group if anything happens on the day and they need a helping hand.
The Art Director
The art director is responsible for organsing the location, costume, props, make up and continuity to avoid any embarrasing errors that pop up and someone notices. Moving furniture into specific positions and making sure all the clips match will assure this. They will be making the decisions on the visual elements that will be used and making sure everything flows well. If the art director does their job well it makes the editing a far easier process.
I believe for our production we again should share this task and rotate as it would be nice to learn this. Although I am aware that Gabi has an interest in this task and will let her focus more on this job as I will stick to the camera.
Producer
The producer as a role is Playing a role of producer is not for such a big scale in our music video production. I think in our case the job is really similar to the role of the director, therefore each of the group members could do the job. Everyone is well prepared when it comes to the flow of the shoot and what we are supposed to do. In my opinion we should switch the job so at different scene someone else is making sure that everything goes smooth, that there is a general concentration and 'peace' on the set and that everyone from the crew knows what to do and where to be
The
producer has an important role that focuses on the production of the
whole movie. The producer is responsible for arranging everything from
managing the budget, looking for crew, sorting out the equipment, making
a general schedule for the shooting, working on the set designs and
scripts.

Sound Playback
Sound Playback
People
responsible for light and sound are making sure that the lighting is
right with the requirements, it is also taking care of the general
appearance of the shot. Sound crew is responsible for the quality of the
sound, in our case the sound is one of the most important aspects,
since we rely on a good lip sync and the sound in general.
I
would like to be responsible for the lighting in the padded room while
we are shooting the DJ, because we decided on strobe and colorful lights
and I think it would be a good new experience since it also will add
more artists and visual aspect to the video, which I am interested in.
