We were falling behind the production of the digi-pack the website was coming along smoothly and I created the scaffolding and built it up. I felt however the digi-pack was week, today I suggested swapping with Gabi and creating the digi-pack myself.
I had a large collection of underwater photos I could use, I jumped onto lightroom and began selecting and editing the photos that would go nicely on the digipack and link to the artist we had created. There was a few images of an underwater centipede which looked great under the macro lens. It really did remind me of the similar artist I studied called 'Flume' The flower like picture coming out the bottom of the cover is very similar to mine. Bearing in mind that Flume has the same target audience as me I thought this worked great.
Spending the day on this and coming up with my first draft I am very pleased to say that we did this swap. My photoshop knowledge is stronger than my website design and I am now just waiting for audience feedback to see where I should go with the digipack now.
This album cover is absolutely gorgeous! Fabulous job on editing and formatting this photograph. It's really neat that you have underwater photos to choose from. I'm so intrigued to know about what goes into taking a good underwater photo. Do you need very particular equipment or is it more simple than one might imagine? Stick with the photoshop, you're a natural!
