Sexy Beast Introduction

We began analysing Sexy beast and The Shinings introductions they are two completely different opening scenes in Sexy beast you get to hear dialogue and there are some really powerful shots of the characters my favourite is the opening shot of him lying down i like the props they have used for example the beer bottles and from just the first few lines he says we know what type of person he is.

What i really like about this film introduction and the reason its one of my faveourites is because its just pure quality the first few lines he says is so comedic and entertaining to hear. When the music comes in thats just another story. It goes perfectly with the situation its almost as if the song was made for that scene.

I think the important thing to consider with this clip is the fact how with in the first five minutes of video how much information it tells the audience because when the camera is facing down on him he could be anybody lying by a pool at a hotel but the moment it cuts to the kid cleaning and he tells him to put his back into it. It really starts building up an image that this guy is wealthy and owns this place he is at his cockney accent really does strike me as him being a British gangster.
