I decided on exploring an artist and creating a website on Drake. I didn't look at his actual website as this will make the experiment biased and I would copy ideas off his page. It was interesting comparing the two and it turns out there are some similarities between the two which I was very surprised about.

• It turns out that drake uses his signature on his webpage
• He has a tour dates page with the same photo as me

Because Drake is a quite a synthetic artist, I decided on adding lots of photos from his recent shoot to the background, I was very suprised however when I found out that he didn't infact have a background and it instead was a very bland white design which really surprised me. He did however greet the viewers with a video similar to what i have done.

Drakes website also features a shop section which links to his record companys merchandise Octobers Very Own which operates as a subsidiary of and is distributed through Warner Bros. Records. This is a great example of Drake advertising his record label he founded on his website to boost sales and make more money. I didn't know there was an OVO shop and I regret not adding it in. However this is a very common thing for artists to do when they want to advertise there merchandise.

Overall I really enjoyed the task of creating a website for an artist and I have got a good understanding of how Wix and artists work in terms of creating websites for the general public to view.
