Editing session 1

Editing Session one

Today we began our first editing session, we went into the editing booth and gathered round the computer the wait and all the anticipation that had built up was finally released as the project appeared on the screen on Adobe Premier. Matt then gathered us round the projector to show us the basics and remind us how to do everything.

After the brief we sat down back in our group and began to discuss what our expectations where as a final project and the type of structure we would use to create an effective thriller that keeps the viewers "On the edge of there seats"

after doing the interview task this has given me a clear opinion on what people want to experience when watching a thriller. Why not implement this into my work I though to myself. We took to the trusty storyboard for help. It helped us get the clear picture of how it was being presented and then we began viewing the clips and working out what shots we would use and which clips we would scrap. I suggested to re name the clips to make it easier for us to find them when it came to us needing them.

This really saved us time as we were limited on time. As we slowly moved through the editing process we continued swapping roles to give each other a chance at a certain form of editing we were slowly seeing a good structure of the edit gradually evolving.
