Evaluation Task 3 : What Kind Of Media Institution Might Distribute Your Media Product And Why?

Evaluation Task 3 - What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

The plot of my film follows the story of a man trying to run his family at the same time as his highly known drug cartel and trying to balance between the two. The opening sequence of our film is one of the tasks he has to do as his role in his gang and his way of life when he is away from the family. doing different tasks i did some research into some film disturbers who make these types of films and i came up with a few institutions who have distributed and produced similar films.

Alchemy (formerly Millennium Entertainment)t is an american film distributer they are work on all sorts of films from action to thrillers there newest work is the new Leatherface and The Expendables 4. There peice of work that relates most to mine is The Ice Man which is based on a story of Richard Kuklinski, who is a contract killer that also runs a family and this secret life is hidden from the family. If my film was produced professional they might distribute it as it matches up with most of there films .
New Line Film Productions Inc is an American film studio founded in 1967 and was merged with larger sister studio Warner Bros. in 2008. They will be distributing a film coming out soon featuring Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson. These are two well known actors so they obviously know what they are doing and are very reliable. If I was to make a film New Line Cinema would suit it very well. The film they distributed that links best to my thriller opening scene is History of Violence which again is a film about a family man getting revenge and living the life of two roles as there isn't a fine line between family and killing.

Overall I believe that if my opening sequence was made into a professional film. I would go with an English version of New Line Cinema because I doubt a world famous production company owned by one of the biggest conglomerates (Time Warner) would distribute it for me.
